of a series of ads made for Count Chocula breakfast cereal by the Uli
Meyer Studio. This background is from a commercial called "Monster Mash", featuring the 1960's novelty dance number on the soundtrack. This ad featured a lot of effects work, as there was a party going on chez Chocula. By this time (Summer 1997) the studio was routinely integrating 3D animation into its commercials work, whether it had been specified or not. In "Monster Mash", a computer model of each shot was built to provide the basis for the effects work for the swooping spotlights illuminating the party. Count Chocula leads the merrymaking from his balcony. |
