This background served two purposes. First, it was a design colour sketch for the client's approval. Second it provided the data on colours and textures for the Softimage 3D model based on it. The Satori software allowed me to recall every surface used in this painting, and then export the data in Softimage's PIC format. The 3D model looked almost identical to this 2D painting.
