I love doing this kind of stuff. The Cheesy Wotsits campaign had a kind of mad energy, and much of the styling was by Dean Taylor. Even though the style called for frenetic splattering, out of register outlines and lurid colours, the tonal bones of the picture had to be rock solid to hold the craziness together. My favourite detail is the outline trophy casting a solid shadow. I used a lot of cel masks for the airbrushing, and employed an old toothbrush dipped in paint for splattering. |
