# 5 Temporary Comment Layer
Use a Layer for Notes and Comments
You often have to leave a piece of work half finished and come back to it later. Have you ever scribbled a note to yourself about what remains to be done,and then not been able to find the note later?
Here's a way to keep your notes with your work.
( This is also a good way to leave notes for colleagues, too.)Say you are working on a picture...

You are just adding a terrible Storm Warning to the weather map, when...

Your colleagues invite you to the pub for lunch.
If you go, you are sure to forget what still needs to be done to the picture.
Quick as a flash...

You create a new layer and call it "NOTE & ERASE LAYER".

It looks like this

Use the new layer to scribble your instructions, save the .CVS, and join your mates for lunch.

Later, you will remember clearly what needed to be done.
( Even if you can't remember exactly why.)

Just remember to DELETE
the Layer afterwards.Moral: Satori Layers don't have to precious or permanent to be useful.
