Tricky was the first real-time 2D cartoon animation on television. Viewers could call in to the show, and Tricky (A cartoon dragon) could talk back to them, live. Tricky was animated in Macromedia's "Flash" program. Some clever software could paste lip-sync mouth positions on to a series of in-betweened poses, driven by the voice-over artist's voice. This technology has been refined by Alive Animation for further shows, such as Dynamo for the BBC. |
